Outside of the fact that I am holding a commodities mutual fund that is doing well from oil and copper.. this increase in the price of crude oil futures is a positive thing. The people of this country will not get off their rear ends and seek out alternative energy sources until they are forced to, financially or until lifestyle changes are required. Of course some national leadership might be helpful, but in lieu of that, the more I hear bitching and moaning about gasoline and diesel prices, the more likely we will finally respond to the obvious problem.
Onward and upward, I say.
