So I just realized the title of the BCT PR was misleading, along with many of the news reprts about it. BCT didnt file a patent application, they filed a provisional patent application. Which does not get reviewed, does not get made public and only really serves as a time stamp for a future patent application. In essence it was a marker set down before they went public at the conference with the data. BTW has anybody seen a copy of the poster? I'm starting to obsess a little about this.
