The post to which you responded had nothing whatever to do with capital punishment, Ish. It was about the possible impact of multiculturalism and immigration on fundamental values in America.

But in any case, the appeals process is designed to be sure they are in fact guilty under the law before they are executed.

Wondering what the dollar limit should be on the prosecution. Just curious.

Additionally, could well-off defendants spend more than 500k? How about ten or twenty or thirty million?

Also interested in what penalties you would propose for those involved in prosecutions that resulted in either the death of an innocent or an unconstitutional execution. Capital punishment, heavy fines, loss of job and pension, no protection from suit in civil court by survivors of the wrongfully executed, or what?

These are complicated issues, and I'm always interested in how different people would manage the complexities.
