Dull red. Still no pyrometer.

Stopped by the ceramics factory previously mentioned.

No chance there for assistance. I forgot, they don't glaze glass pieces(DUH!) they do an emanel glaze on metal tiles. They use infered pyrometers and their maax temp is only 1256F. SO I'm just winging it. Still letting it soak. I'm running home to tke a shower. Should have a dull red when I return. I'll turn it up then wait for a bright red than begin the body reduction until about 2200F, slight oxidation till I get to maybe 2280 than heavy reduction(but not to the point I lose temp. But should rise then about
25-40F/ hour up to temperature. As I remember we use to clen up any extra carbon floqating aaround with about a 10 minute oxidation to finish it up. I'm either gonna cut thaat out or only do it for a minute or two. Even if I get so so results from not cleaning it up, I'll know if I am on the right traack with the rest of the firing.
