forces for digital wireless cable; Hi-Media contracted as key
supplier by Zenith

SAN DIEGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 19, 1997--ComStream's Hi-Media
Division, a leading integrated circuit (IC) provider for the
broadband digital communications market, has been selected by Zenith
Electronics Corp. as its supplier of transmission components for
digital wireless set-top devices.

The agreement will support a major portion of Zenith's contract to
supply three million digital set-top boxes to Americast, the home
entertainment programming venture of leading telephone and
entertainment companies.

Hi-Media delivered prototypes of network interface modules for
multichannel multipoint distribution system (MMDS) set-top boxes to
Zenith in September 1996 and has been shipping production units since
January 1997.

Blake, vice president and general manager of ComStream's Hi-Media
Division.
