Send To ...

I'm looking at expanding my Send To list. Currently, I anticipate adding NotePad, Printer, Fred, (another text editor) and WordPad to the list. Sending to a generic text printer may work as a convenient way of converting 'fancy' text to 'plain', if it works.

Files containing initialization codes could be sent to my printer with a simple click. This may prove useful or wasteful. I'll need live with it a bit to know for sure. The same idea could be applied to my modem too.

I'll use this feature as a quick way of over-riding default associations on one-time basis.

I haven't finished experimenting, but currently anticipate being able to click on 'C' source files and having them compile. Once compiled, the executable will run normally. Again, I must emphasize that this is a work in progress and may lead down some blind alleys. If I discover any gems in the sand, I'll post about it.

Cheers, PW.
