- Many of you are not in the industry and may not see it, but if you are you will see that the vast majority of their product successes have had a big "compatibility with our Desktop OS - how bout our competitors products" imposed threat. Not said but implied strongly.

BS, Toy. That is the perspective of competitors that lost to MSFT, not from the customers who made the decision. Competitors, like NOVL, WordPerfect, Lotus refused to deliver Windows products. Then, when they finally were forced to because MSFT was delivering products that matched and beat their products feature for feature, but in a Windows environment, they refused to take their stupid heads out of the sand and COMPETE. Instead, they cried foul and blamed MSFT for their own mistakes.

That's the perspective of THIS guy who was in the industry when you were graduating from the 6th grade.

Your perspective is so tainted by your IBM culture, its sad.
