The growing of the crops is already banned in the UK. The real question is testing of crops, and how long that will go for...somewhere between one and five years was what they wanted. Three sounds "fair"...although they don't have even one piece of scientific evidence for this. I wonder if this will heighten the trade war, because I think this issue is more of that, just like similar issues. Also, this really screws the UK farmers over, and the farmers union won't be happy. So it may not be the last word.

However, note this story quotes a UK source and could be entirely incorrect based on that.
