Ted Re..Now I understand yours and Ray's and Bush's thinking. Its based on the concept of how we dealt with communism.

It was costly, but effective. It cost us 35,000 men to save 40 million in SK, yet today, it would be impossible to fight that long of a war, without major rioting.

I didn't know you was a military genius, who knew better than the brass how to defeat terrorism. Why not send them a letter. Divide and conquer has always been the objective throughout the centuries. Why would it be any different now. The second rule is to try and fight on the enemies territory, which the US has been especially good at lately. Defense, such as trenches have been outmoded since WWI. Patten, the greatest general in US history, was an offensive genius. The only war we lost was Vietnam, a war designed by the generals, to be defensive, not offensive.
