Comparing savings in the PO within a plan that covers an additional 30M or so people to the status quo is meaningless...yet you stood by the comparison as valid.

It is valid. Where talking about costs. If a plan doesn't do what you want, but costs less, its still costs less. If you argue for a different plan because it does do what you want, your not arguing based on costs, but rather on the benefits that you think the plan provides.
