The Veldhoven-based company expects to begin deliveries of a full production lithography system in the second half of 1999. "As we have said before, ASML is not expecting a fast ramp in 300-mm stepper demand," Polak said. "It will be a gradual growth." In the past year, several ASML customers have opted to use 300-mm lithography systems from rival Canon Inc. in pilot fabs and development activities.
