Carl, I really agree. Having many hours in journalism, an a son with his own marketing firm, PR is half of everything! I think a good example, rather than CYRX (which is all smoke and very little fire)...is EMC. Very low-profile, hard working, good numbers...no glamour and no press. When they finally did come out with good news, it took 2 quarters to be 'accepted' by the investment community...when all along it was there, and doing alot of business. SGI should do demographics on the PR strategies of DEC, EMC, INTL, MSFT, and others, then hire a good firm that can project their image in a clear and clever manner. We are ALL now products of PR, whether we acknowledge it or not. Even what we 'voice' here is a part of that picture. Hope they catch on soon. |
