Yes, just excellent. I just watched Tommy Thompson take
Clarke apart. Clarke tried to connect his book statements
to his press briefings, and ended up calling
it "semantics." He was hinting that his position required
him to lie for the Prez. That was his only way out. Here
is the way the Times played it. Clarke is claiming exactly
the opposite of what happened. My main objection to Clarke
is not the both administrations make mistakes, but that
Clarke has now politicized it, and wants to make the
Clintons the heros and the Bushies the bums.
