Look we're both adults and we both have had experiences that have lead us to different conclusions re. this war. True. I think the global opposition to the war is telling; you think that it doesn't matter.......that its the right/moral thing to do. Not true. I think global opposition is a factor, just like everything else. I just think that in this case, the other factors outweigh the global opposition. (There is also global support for the war, but my statement stands even if there weren't.) Time and the war will tell us who's right. No, the right thing to do is the right thing to do. Trying to stop a mugger, whether during or after the crime, might get you hurt or even killed, but that doesn't mean it's not the right thing to do. The difference here is, we are not weaklings: we've got a very effective military force that should be able to disarm the mugger. What you mean is, time will tell if we can successfully disarm him or not, and how badly we (and innocent civilians) get injured in the process. I think it has to be done either way, otherwise the mugging will continue, and we might be next. JJ
