My second hand impression is after creating the Norton Rescue Disk, the system rebooted to safe mode using the new rescue disk and a message then appeared which read similar to the following:

"*ASPIATAP requires MSDOS compatibility mode*. The next line stated the computer had an unknown dos driver and MSDOS had switched to the compatibility mode which caused WinMe to run in an inferior manner. You should either uninstall this driver or get an updated one. "

One method to approach the message is to attempt to locate a new driver for the zip. It is a brand new Dell computer.

What my initial question was is this message a real issue or just coming up because it is booting up from a rescue disk. Since you did not see this message, I conclude it is important to attempt to locate a new driver.

Comments, thoughts, advice , money etc. are always appreciated.<G>
