Well, I'm taking it with me along with She's Come Undone and The Rapture of Canaan. Also an interesting little book called Red Hot Mamas, about the 40s and 50s for women. I'll lie in the sun and sob, book in one hand, marguarita in the other. I'll survive. This is my farewell post, I guess. OFf to a ballgame and leave early in the morning. Hope you all have a great week in the market and elsewhere in your lives. Will I survive this cruel and abrupt cessation of contact with you all? I'm sure I'll emerge shaken, but stronger, a better person. Then again, what if I can't handle it? Will the ship be equipped with emergency net access for me if I go into shock? I suppose they could tranquilize me if necessary. See y'all in a few days. penni
