Thousands of consumers are gaming Massachusetts’ 2006 health insurance law by buying insurance when they need to cover pricey medical care, such as fertility treatments and knee surgery, and then swiftly dropping coverage, a practice that insurance executives say is driving up costs for other people and small businesses.

Why WHO would have EVER thought of THIS? LOL.

Seems like only a few weeks ago Alighieri and CJ were telling me, "Oh, no, that would never happen".

MASS is a microcosm of what is wrong with the national bill. This is one issue -- one which will be far bigger at the federal level.

The other big bust is that Emergency Rooms are BUSIER, NOT LESS BUSY in MASS and costs are getting HIGHER, not lower. Another argument I've had with Alighieri and others on the other thread for months.

This is an absolute fiasco. I just wonder why the dumb-assed Republicans couldn't manage to expose some of these facts before the legislation was shoved down Americans throats.
