Short interest in NOVL last month was relatively flat from the previous month. 11 million or 13 million shares, as I recall.

It's possible that there is a deep base of shares that were shorted against the box a couple of years ago.

Hard to tell how much influence there will be, in any case. A quick sharp move through resistance is what really shakes those guys up.
