I have a suggestion I'd like to make. If you have a soldier who has died in your town or a town close enough to you and you can attend that soldiers funeral, please do. It does mean a lot to the family that a total stranger cared enough to take time out of their lives to pay tribute to their loved one who has made the ultimate sacrifice.

This idea came from a local radio talk show host Michael Berry. It's something we don't think about doing because we think we might be intruding. Well, you would be surprised at how few people turn out for some fallen soldiers now a days. When this war started and we started loosing soldiers, towns turned out for their funerals. Now, that just isn't the case.

It's a kind gesture, you don't have to stay for the church pot luck, just a quick thanks in the book, a gentle hug or just a handshake to let them know they aren't forgotten.
