tim ...it might well be the case that the types accidents which resulted in fatal injuries in america were successfully treated else where....there for not fatal and not in the stats as such.

health coverage does include hospitalization and care after accidents.

one would need to count immidiate deaths after accident and before hospitalization to have a true picture.

i seem to recall tony soprano having such an experience....had he not been very well insured he would not have recieved the treatment he did...it it was clearly pointed out to him.

sorry to have to use such an example .....but i just dont personally know anyone shot by their uncle.
