I bought new switches for my Key Tronic KB101 keyboard, I am going to rebuild one of them. I took it apart, and it's not going to be an easy job. I figure 4 hours..at least.

The reason I am rebuilding it, is that it's worth about 150 bucks and they don't make them anymore.

The manufacturer still rebuilds these boards for people who want them refurbished, but they charge 90 dollars, plus shipping both ways.

If that was just a plain Jane keyboard, it's cheaper and less hassle just to buy a new one. That goes for Notebooks as well.

Cleaning key switches is not very practical.
