Sabratek's Moon Subsidary Partners With ProxyMed; OneMedPlace.com to Provide Physicians with Connections to 30,000 Pharmacies

CLEARWATER, Fla. and FT LAUDERDALE, Fla., July 15 /PRNewswire/ -- Sabratek Corporation SBTK and ProxyMed, Inc., PILL announced today that Sabratek Corporation's MOON Communications subsidiary (MOON) and ProxyMed have entered into a multi-year strategic licensing agreement for the integration of ProxyNet(TM) services into the MOON web portal, OneMedPlace.com.
Under the terms of the agreement, ProxyMed has provided MOON with the source code for its proprietary drug utilization review, formulary and drug databases, as well as, access to ProxyNet, ProxyMed's online health care information network. MOON will integrate ProxyMed's electronic prescription transmission services and online healthcare information network into MOON's healthcare application services portal, OneMedPlace.com. Immediate benefits to physicians include electronic connections to over 30,000 pharmacies and online access to 93 health plan formularies. The agreement fortifies OneMedPlace.com as the premier e-commerce portal for physician information and services.

Through MOON's web-based system, physicians can determine patient eligibility, and drug formulary, and critical clinical side effect and interaction information when the prescription is written. Benefits accruing to the physician include improved quality of care and efficiencies in key areas, including processing time for medications, data transcription errors, adverse drug reactions and order duplication. OneMedPlace.com will host a number of other similar functional healthcare e-commerce solutions, enabling dramatic cost savings and improved physician practice productivity, optimizing patient care and satisfaction.
