They are kind of a shy bird so you don't get to see them often. My old house in the country I had a family of them that would land on a wood pole for my tv antenna that sat right outside my bedroom. They would come at daybreak and all of them would commence to hammering away. First couple of mornings the wife got up and watched them and oohed and aaahed. By about day 5 she was covering her head with the pillows and screaming at me if you don't shoot those SOB's I will:)

Needless to say we didn't do any shooting.
