NSOL might just win by default. 10/03/98 - Domain Deadline Comes, Goes

Oct. 02, 1998 (InternetWeek - CMP via COMTEX) -- Oct. 1 was supposed to be the long-awaited cutover-the day private industry took over domain name registration management.
