I remember running out the screen door at the crack of dawn, going down to the bayou hunting frogs, snakes and gators and not coming home until just before dark.

If one of us got hurt, we'd go to the closest neighbors house. They would doctor us up and usually haul us back home so we wouldn't have to walk home.
