Doug, Re: "Does anyone know what speeds Intel is projected to get their P4 up to on the .13um process? I've read Intel will be up to 3Ghz by year end. Can Intel get higher speeds out of the .13?? If so what's the guess?"

It's true that Intel has projected an acceleration to their roadmap, so that they can hit 3GHz by the end of the year. I'm guessing that this will be a low volume sku, though. Later in 2003, they will probably be able to improve bin splits of the 3GHz sku, and probably manage a 3.2GHz sku before the middle of next year. After that, they are projecting the launch of their .09u process, so they won't need much more from Northwood. Given their recent demonstrations of Pentium 4 CPUs at or above 4GHz, I'm guessing that that will be a goal for the end of 2003.

Re: "When do you expect Intel to be ramping .09 in significant volumes? I assume .09 will all be on 300mm wafers. Am I correct?"

I'm guessing that Intel's .09u process will be much like their .13u process ramp. In other words, they will be able to start the conversion some time in the Summer of 2003, but a real ramp to high volume will take place in 2004. I assume that it will all be on 300mm wafers.
