I do feel that any police or prosecutors that manufacture or with hold evidence should be punished. A trial is to try to find the truth not better a person's won/loss record.

That seems so simple, doesn't it?

I'm sure most prosecutors and cops do their best to seek the truth and exclude nothing that would lead to it, but of course there are others who see the process as a competition to win convictions, not as occasions to seek the truth.
