Dow Jones Newswires

HELSINKI -- Finnish telecommunications company Oy Nokia (NOKA) has extended its
long-term frame agreement to supply GSM equipment to Polish operator Polkomtel S.A. in a deal
worth EUR150 million, Nokia said Monday.

Nokia will supply network infrastructure equipment for Polkomtel's Plus GSM network, including
mobile switching centers, base stations, base station controllers and a range of customer services
covering implementation and technical support, the company said.

GSM stands for Global System for Mobile communications and is the world's most widely
deployed digital wireless communications standard.

Polkomtel has operated a GSM 900 network since October 1996. The network has more than
900,000 subscribers and a population coverage of 91%.
