The political rightwing evangelicals are the most dishonest ones, along with the money-grubbing fleece the flock types. Also dishonest are the hypocritical pandering rightwing politicians like Delay who pretend to be holy but are crooked and amoral. Most christians in the US are honest, moderate or liberal and not trying to create a theocratic blend of government and rightwing religion such as we saw with the Taliban. But many in power are doing exactly that.
