Shield Gold (SHG-V) appoints Gorman CEO, Director

Shield Gold Inc. has made the following changes to the management and operations of the company. The company is pleased to report that Paul A. Gorman has joined the company as chief executive officer and as a director. Mr. Gorman brings immense experience and knowledge related to the graphite industry to Shield.
Mr. Gorman is a corporate specialist with over 15 years of experience in junior mining finance, taking companies public and operating growth emerging public companies. For the last 12 years, Mr. Gorman has been the president and managing partner of Riverbank Capital Inc., a merchant bank working with small-cap companies to assist them in financing, property exploration and developing well-defined marketing programs. Mr. Gorman's responsibilities have also included raising capital totalling in excess of $155-million, as well as promoting the companies to the investment community and writing strategic plans for business growth. Mr. Gorman is a director of several private and public companies, holding senior management positions with Canadian and United States-based organizations providing expertise in the areas of capital raising, corporate governance and strategic initiatives.
Mr. Gorman replaces Dr. Howard Sinclair-Jones, PEng, who has resigned his executive posts and as a director but remains as a consultant to the company. The company would like to thank Dr. Sinclair-Jones for his tireless work in an executive capacity.
Paul R. Ankcorn remains as the company's chief financial officer and a director. John M. Siriunas, PEng, a director of the company, has been appointed as vice-president of exploration. Mr. Siriunas is a qualified person as defined by National Instrument 43-101. |
