Analyst Coverage....New CEO Rick, VRSN has 20 analysts covering their stock. Not bad for a little company that has been around for only a couple of years. Is it because they are a high flier on the Nasdaq? Is it because of their position in the marketplace?......Could it be their high profile customer base?....Why, why, why? Identix has 3 analysts. Identix will be naming a new CEO fairly soon. I doubt the new CEO would want to have anything to do with the earnings to be reported in two weeks......but it might be safe to get the new guy anytime after that. I think IDX has two candidates from inside.....and I'm also fairly sure that they would take a look outside also. Since I believe that, hands down, IDX's biggest problem is exposure.......I hope that IDX thinks hard about finding a high profile CEO that can bring Wall Street to Identix. IDX would have to pony up the bucks...no doubt....but I think it would be worth it. I would think that the couple of insiders who are fully able to run IDX.....could see the benefits too. Their stock would go up! Example.....You bring on one of the top people from Motorola......and everything changes.....Yes? Just a thought......Is IDX ready to become known? 8 analysts by June would be very cool. bg
