If I were a LEGAL immigrant of any persuasion I would PERSONALLY RESENT the kid glove treatment and exceptions made for ILLEGAL immigrants. That being said, I tend to favor a strengthened Bush method. That is: A. first STRENGTHEN THE BORDER with whatever it takes B. THEN, implement a guest worker program, including a foolproof ID card and enforcing STIFF rules against employers hiring illegals who are not in the program. I do NOT favor mass deportation of those here but I DO favor identification, sign up into some kind of program which includes working, paying taxes ie being RESPONSIBLE. Now, if any voter is against that plan then the hell with them. jdn
