Kevin: DON'T BOTHER WITH OPEN & CLOSE...THAT'S NOT how gaps are created. A gap is created when - on the upside, as in the case here - the LOW of day x is higher than the HI of the previous day............e.g., 2/01 High = 55.563....2/02 Low = 56.375....2/03 Low = 56.375...........if you veiw this on a chart showing daily ranges - the gap will be noticeable. The old "gap theory" says, "90 % will fill in 90 days - 9% will fill in 9 months - the rest may never fill." Why does this work - my guess - "nature abhors a vacuum". Best, Don
