Al Re.. The common person in Europe (and the world) reacts to gut revulsion of the war for its violence and destruction, not material interests.

Except when that war favors them, then they are all for it. Case in point is Kosovo. Another is that France has troops in Algiers, and Tunisia. If France is so against war, why not pull the troops out of Africa. Why were 17 of the 33 companies selling WMD to Iraq German, when have such a revulsion, and what about Frances selling 2 nuclear reactors if they are so against it.

If the US war remains unpopular, there are likely to be many Shroeders around the world coming to elected power on the strenght of US opposition.

And if there are lots of WMD in Iraq, there could be a lot less Schroeders in the world. At any rate, there should be a lot less terrorists, which is the most important. Besides, all GW has to do, after Iraq is face down Israel, and try to settle the Palestine problem. Then everyone will love him.
