Perhaps you wouldn't have believed it, but it's safe to say that there are as many of those on this thread that would believe it if the stats were reversed as those who agreed with the original post.

My allegations that conservatives tend to have all the intellect notwithstanding, I do believe Clinton has more intellect than does Bush (and have previously stated here numerous times). With any broad rule, there are going to be exceptions, and so it is not shocking that Bill Joy, undoubtedly a man with an extremely high intellect, is an extremist liberal. Same with Clinton.

However, this idea that intellect makes for a great president is absurd. Basic intellect is essential. But more important, in my mind, are integrity, the ability to delegate/management skills, and good common sense judgment -- all of which are possessed by Bush and none of which are possessed by Clinton.

I wouldn't care if Clinton's IQ was 225, he could never offset the fact that he is, frankly, a sleazy individual, lacked basic judgment, and tried to micromanage from the presidency.
