Hi Jim
There are two alternatives for this problem. 1) Do nothing, let MSFT publish what they want and take a poke at us about BorderManager - including lies and half-truths. Sit back and take it, however wrong they are. 2) Have a pop at them for the lies they tell, and hopefully let people know that have read their version of things that they don't always publish the truth, whole truth and nothing but....
I agree with you that the first thing that you see on the BorderManager page should talk up the product, listing the features and uniques that MSFT can't do, but we seem to have hit a bit of a raw nerve regarding this product area, and MSFT and *extremely* agressive about attacking us on this subject. Don't be embarrased about it, it just means that we're on the counterattack against them...If we didn't do it we'd get three times as much criticism.
Rest assured that the product *is* hot. It does thing for a company's Internet link that MSFT can't do or even attempt to emulate. I've been working with it since March and the difference it can make to the speed and usability are of an Internet link are pretty spectacular. Again, I'm sorry that you came away from the Novell site with the impression that all we can do is bash MSFT, we can do better and we always do, it's just that they usually get in early with their FUD, so we need to spike their guns, so to speak...
If you or anyone needs information on what BorderManager can or can't do, please email me at Peter_Connolly@novell.com and I'll do my best to help you.
Regards
Peter
