The Christian right is a real danger. I am sorry to report that most politicians I have come in contact with are a real danger for the same reason. Promises that they have others interests over their own. Take the wealth and corruption out of politics and you would find it difficult to find anyone interested. Demand the priesthood earn their living and teach as a gift of love. See how many would be left. I have witnessed victory parties in elections by the religious right. I personally am aware of one U.S. Senator from tenn. and one two members of the house, who as a reward for their election volunteers rented motels and hotels for a night of passion and drunkenness. They hired women to prostitute and put them on a different floor with instructions to do whatever the different men asked. Then after a feast and alchohol sated them the were told anyone who desired could sate themselves with sex as much as they desired with as many women as pleased them. I had a close and dear friend who was trapped in that and almost destroyed a happy family. He confided in me that he was suffering from the guilt and what an evil thing it was to his devoted wife. He said it almost destroyed his marriage and he was very repentent. By this experience he judged it evil. Another business acquaintance was bragging about his prowess and telling me I should have been. I thank God I wasn't. I was riciculed in many places because I didnd't care for alchohol. I grew up with an alcholic father. I know from experience the results I saw in him and others since. It wasn't religion as others thought. It was my evidence of the scientific experiments they were demonstrating. My inability to type is a physical limitation. I haven't time to proof read. Wish it were different for it limits my ability to express myself.
