I won't criticize anybody for refusing to throw something into a bill at the last minute, without the opportunity to evaluate it.

I don't advocate making snap decisions about changing laws, any more than I advocate jumping to conclusions about other people's motivations.

Unfortunately, they don't put these proposed amendments up for all to see in a free and fair manner. The process is far from deliberative, which is why things get sneaked through that almost nobody even knew was there.

You're opining in a vacuum. But you're already "sure" that there are nefarious purposes involved because Reid's a Democrat.

If I had to guess -- I'd rather not -- I'd guess that Senator Kyl is the one who's wrong -- based on the laws that are published for all to see.
