According to this article, looks like Merrill Lynch is going Linux big time, top down. Doesn't mention Intel servers explicitly, but what else would they use for anything below the mainframe? I suppose they could look at Sun, but Sun doesn't have anything but the server appliances yet, I don't think. The article does say this:
