Apple's iPad Average Selling Price Could Increase 5% To 12% From Last Year

One of the variables when projecting Apple AAPL +0.71%’s revenue is the Average Selling Price or ASP for
each of its main product lines: iPhones, iPads, iPods and Macs. Within the iPad product line there are different
types (iPad 2, iPad 4, iPad Air, original mini and Retina mini), different memory sizes and connectivity (Wi-Fi
only or with Cellular) that have been on sale last year or this year. I have developed an analysis of last year’s
iPads and its ASP and calculate that it could be 5% to 12% higher this year. (Note that my family and I own
Apple shares).

I have developed a Google GOOG +1.25% Doc spreadsheet with assumptions on the percentage break down

of the various iPad models, memory sizes and connectivity that is available via this link. I am certain that the
exact percentages are incorrect but I do believe the analysis is a worthwhile exercise to provide what the
iPad’s ASP could be for the December 2013 quarter.

What were the various models that generated a $467 ASP a year ago?
