While on vacation, I read a book called Red Hot Mamas, an inspirational and empowering (I just love these pc terms)book for the middleaged women. Immediately on return, I burned every ruffled article of clothing in my closet, tore up my diploma from Miss Davidson's Cotillion for Young Ladies and Gentlemen of the Old South, chopped down the magnolia tree, and vowed never to flirt or giggle again. I've also discarded my carefully nurtured, dulcet drawl and am working on speaking like Barbra Streisand.
