The situation is very difficult. The media is making up the news, rather than just reporting it as it happens. We see evidence of this every day...listen to what the commentators are saying, and what bias they have. Watch which "guests" they have and what they say. Did those "guests" really work at Enron, or were they part of the legal or vendor base for the company?

Some members of Congress are grandstanding and preening in front of every microphone and camera they can find sharing their opinions. Both events actually attempt to try the case in the court of public opinion, rather than a court of law. Of course, this influences a potential jury pool.

You retain a law firm, with hopefully competent lawyers. They tell you that you can't testify without immunity because of the ongoing circus.

We are innocent in this country and have to be proven guilty.

What would you do? What if, after all, we find that whatever Enron did was legal...according to whatever the accounting rules were at the time~~~Again, I am assuming the legal staff of Enron knew about all the seeming chicanery that was happening. So WHY is no one mentioning the lawyers, or the SEC, or the brokerages in all of this?

Again, what would you do?
