CL, I've been thru all this (see my thread), trying several different portfolio managers. For example, I shared my portfolio by posting the URL for the Quicken/Excite portfolio I was using at the time. But that option was not secure, the portfolio got changed and someone could theoretically hack my Excite account so I deleted it. I now use the Yahoo! portfolio feature. While it is not shareable in the same way as SI's, it is much better than SI's. For example, purchase price, market capitalization, P/E ratio, 52-week high and low, can all be useful info. The total value of the portfolio is crucial. None of these things are very handy though. When you buy and sell you have to calculate the changes in cash manually.
