Junior: well I have been using both and my failure rate on Windows is two orders of magnitude greater than Linux (which I have never had lock up). Also have worked at Kinko's on WINSLOP machines. Everytime I go I must ask the technical administrator to reboot the machine because she has locked up at least twice a visit. Windows reliability is miserable. Now if you're just sitting there running a single low overhead task maybe it can do it, but when the rubber meets the road and you need to get things done FORGET IT.
