| Oh , good grief, I totally agree with you. UNLESS there was a household nurse, and a 24 hour nanny, there would be NO way I'd start a young family at age 59. When one is young, we have patience, and can actually run after them if need be. When we get older, our patience is much lessened, especially if the kid gets sassy, or mouthy....That job is good for younger parents. Our jobs at 55 or better is to watch over them as needed, and love them, and give them back to their parents till next time. I love being a Grammie....the 24/7 pressure is off, so both of us can just enjoy them unconditionally (well, mostly unconditionally....<big grin>) |
