This month's short info is not going to tell us much. The brokers have to report at 05/15. That's before the announcement and the big sell off. Surely one cannot expect the shorts to recover at/around 05/15. We have to wait for June's number. Also, if the short number goes up in the May report, it does not mean that much. The shorts were still probably at an accumulative stage. Remember a total of about 17 millions shares changed hand in the first 3 days after the announcement. June # can give us an estimate how much shorts have recovered in that 3 days. Just my two cents.
