cmgi and witc are completely different
======================================

cmgi hasn't beaten witc to market in any way. cmgi and witc don't compete, they are in very different businesses and are at very different stages. (actually, iirc, cmgi owns a bunch of witc stock.)

cmgi and witc are similar
=========================

the similarity i see between witc and cmgi is to do with a broad view i take of their respective strategies and growth prospects.

cmgi grew by acting as a sort of venture fund for a variety of early stage internet *marketing* related ventures.

witc is also acting as a sort of fund, but their targets aren't restricted to marketing related ventures, and their form of participation (as an investment banker) is arguably even more profitable than cmgi's.

i see no reason why wit capital won't manage the sort of growth that cmgi has managed (about 10,000% since 97), and i expect analysts to begin to see that quite soon.
