Tough dangerous situation out there: really dangerous: Not one good mind out there to lead us through this. We need a Golda Meir right now! This could lead to very bad things. All of Europe and much of my family are upset with the Jews-lol. I think they are wrong. The Jews have had their back to the wall for 2,000 years. That is why they are so tough and fragile. They were wiped out in Europe and now they are surrounded by 100 million people who want to kill them. They had no place to go after the 2nd world war when they suffered like few people ever have. No one ever helped them! So they went back to their historical homeland to lick their wounds. They were half crazed with grief, but also steeled with determination to never let it happen again. Jeeze! The rest of the middleast has lots of room they could give to the Palistians and tons of dough to help them out if anyone was thinking straight. Hezbulla and Iran and Syria were stupid though, and played right into Israel's hands. Israel had to do something about Hezbolla and Hezbolla gave them a clear cut out. They may go on to Iran while they can. They have provocation on their side now. Everyone knows Hezbolla started this, killing 8 army guys and kidnapping two. No one is saying Israel started it. So now Israel can take them out and it is going to do a thorough job. Israel has already said Hezbolla has to be disarmed. I think that is smart. Iran is being led by a Charicature of a mindless uneduated middleast tribal chief. It may be the news guys who lead us through this morass. Putting 2 and 2 together it sure seems like Israel or the US will use this chance to take out Irans nuclear stuff and that will ensure a conflagration. I sure wish John and Bobby Kennedy were handling this or Bill Clinton. We need some thinkers here. The sitution over in the ME is so bad and I feel for the people, but they have got to vote in wise compassionate leaders, not religous clerics and war lords; but the decent and educated people cannot get a foothold for the religous inquisiters preying on the uneducated and downtrodden. One is really abandonedd to existential action here. As bad as it is going to be, probably better than if Iran had nuclear weapons. It is hard to know now, if we created this problem, or if it would have manifested itself anyway becasue of the clash of cultures, regardless of our invading Iraq.
