Just hyperthetically, say INTC decided to form a joint venture with IBM, SUNW, ORCL to develop a new generation of OS that solely runs on its processor after the current law suit is over, is it that difficult to do? Im not sure about the complexity of the task itself, but for whatever reason it seems like joint ventures or consortiums never yield competitive results.
