Hi Zin,
Shoeboxes are used as little hospital rooms for our feathered friends, who are brought under duress into our home by Blue, a notoriously sociable cat. And once a dying bird has resided in your Pappagallo box, the Pappagallos, being of a somewhat fastidious nature, usually refuse to return. As I have no garden worthy of the title, avian corpses are thrown unceremoniously over the back fence, occasionally making a second (but far less lively reappearance) in the living room if Blue has surreptitiously followed me to the funereal flinging and attempted a resurrection.
